INVITATION TO ATTEND A TALK ON
Exploring the potential of vegetation through various resolutions to trace contemporary climate change in subarctic and alpine environments
Dr. Rohan Shetti, FŽP UJEP
Talk Concept
In this talk, I would like to briefly share our results from the last years of how vegetation in the arctic and alpine environments has been a critical proxy to trace contemporary climate warming. From the very cellular level to the community level, vegetation records various environmental changes. Dendroecology, wood anatomy and plant traits have been instrumental proxies for modelling vegetation-environment relationships. In this talk, I would like to share some results with relevant ecosystem stories from dendroecology and dendroclimatology. I would also share some insights about the ongoing projects and future research path
