FŽP UJEP Secures Prestigious STREP Project Funded by Horizon Europe Program

Jan Evangelista Purkyně University (UJEP) celebrates a significant achievement with the acquisition of another prestigious project within the Horizon Europe program. The project, titled STREP (Streamlined Textile Waste Streams for Recycling Optimization), is led by Denmark’s Aalborg University (AAU).

At UJEP, the project is led by the scientific team from the Faculty of Environment, under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr. Ing. Pavel Kuráň.

The STREP project focuses on transforming the European textile and recycling industries through sustainable innovations in textile waste processing.
Its overarching goal is to enhance sustainability, competitiveness, and the independence of the European textile sector from external resources. Additionally, the project aims to deliver direct benefits to consumers by offering more sustainable and higher-quality products.

STREP represents a key step towards creating a more sustainable future, and UJEP looks forward to collaborating with international partners on its implementation.
