Selection Procedure for Erasmus+ Work Placements for Staff

Selection Procedure for Erasmus+ Work Placements for Staff
The Faculty of Environment is announcing a selection procedure for teaching and training placements for staff within the Erasmus+ program for the spring semester of 2024/2025. This program allows faculty staff to undertake a work placement abroad, aimed at enhancing professional competencies and skills, improving language proficiency, and fostering intercultural exchange.

Teaching Placements provide university lecturers the opportunity to teach at partner universities abroad, which are authorized to participate in the Erasmus+ program (holding an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education).

The purpose of training abroad, which may include practical training, study visits, job shadowing, etc., is to acquire new knowledge and skills and to share experiences relevant to the staff’s area of expertise at UJEP. An inter-institutional agreement is not required for training, but the training must take place at an institution located in one of the countries participating in the Erasmus+ program, that is, EU member states, EFTA states, or candidate countries. However, if the training occurs at a higher education institution, that institution must be authorized to participate in the Erasmus+ program.

As part of so-called international mobility, staff can travel for teaching or training placements to institutions outside the Erasmus+ program countries. However, if they plan to visit a foreign university, there must be an inter-institutional agreement between the sending and receiving institutions.

Where will the selection procedure take place?
The selection process will be held on November 27th, starting at 9:30 AM; the exact location will be announced.

Who can apply?
The selection process is open to all faculty staff who wish to deepen their professional knowledge or experience in an international environment.

When will the placements take place?
The placements can be carried out between March 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025 (including travel). The exact date of the placement depends on the host institution’s availability and the specific agreed-upon schedule.
